About

About Valley Deck Builders

Valley Deck Builders is an independent matching service for deck work in the Lower Mainland, BC. We're not a deck builder. We don't do the work, set prices or take payment for jobs.

Homeowners describe a deck project once. We pass it to up to 3 vetted local builders who cover their town and do that kind of work. Those builders pay us for matched requests, which is how the service stays free for homeowners.

We also publish free planning tools, a deck cost calculator and a deck permit checker, and guides written for the way decks age in our climate.

How we check builders

Before joining, each builder confirms a valid business licence, liability insurance and WorkSafeBC coverage. We review their past decks and public reviews, and remove builders who receive repeated complaints.
